Tier 2 Service Desk Engineer

What is the role about?

As a Tier 2 Service Desk Engineer, you have knowledge of supporting and administering the most common of IT systems within an organisation, especially everything that is Apple-related. In this role, you are going to solve technical problems within all areas of the support portfolio. You will be part of our small Service Desk team and report to the IT Manager.

Bitvavo is growing very fast. Thanks to you, our current and new colleagues will be able to do their work smoothly. To provide an excellent level of support, we are looking for someone who can manage our workplaces and help all Vavos with their (complex) incidents, problems and requests.

How will you make an impact?

  • Offer skilled support to all 250+ Vavos working on MacOs (cross-platform skills with Linux, ChromeOS etc is a plus/pro)
  • Provide support in the analysis, troubleshooting, resolution, documentation of IT issues (networking, hardware, software, and related IT services)
  • Set up new workplaces for new colleagues
  • Have a self starter mindset while driving improvements, taking part in projects and continuous service improvement/automation (e.g: streamline the on- and off-boarding process or asset management) 

How will you be successful?

  • 4 years+ of IT Support experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Apple hardware and ecosystem
  • Experience with service management system such as Zendesk 
  • Impeccable technical documentation and KB writing skills
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications such as GSuite, OKTA, Office365, Slack, etc.
  • Experience with Kandji or similar MDM
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
