Bitvavo is looking for you - an ambitious Senior Financial Controller who has accounting and reporting in their DNA. You don't shy away from learning new things every day and taking responsibility for various financial projects. 

What is the role about?

We are on the mission to become the European Market Leader in cryptocurrency exchange. In the next couple of years, we will be considerably expanding our operations all around Europe and you will have the opportunity to be part of it. You will be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of our accounting, and solid reporting to our stakeholders. What does it mean? You will be an important player in the finance team. For us, finance is not just a support department. Finance is at the very core of our business processes.

How will you make an impact?

• Monthly, quarterly and yearly closing responsibilities and financial reporting as well as ad hoc reporting
• Consolidation of group entities and preparation of consolidated and company-only financial statements under the relevant accounting principles
• Coordinating the external audit
• Optimize closing procedures and internal controls over reporting 
• Providing accounting guidance to the financial accountants
• Perform analytical reviews to understand developments in the periodic reports

What do you need to succeed?

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of external reporting (Dutch GAAP) 
• Organized, flexible, detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• Business acumen and Tech savvy
• Ability to multitask, solve problems and take responsibility for resolutions
• Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
